Topic: UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF POWER.

Text: Acts 10:38

The Message: 

If there's a part where we're lacking in Christianity, it's called power. Before you appear at an interview or panel, you have to appear in the presence of God. The spiritual controls the physical; if you can't lay hold of it spiritually, you can't lay hold of it physically. You must understand the importance of power. 

How God anointed Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Ghost. The birth of Jesus came to pass by power. Mary, the mother of Jesus, asked how these things could be, and the impossible became possible. 

It's only those who understand power that get what they want. Before Jesus could function to the best of his anointing, God anointed him. 

So many of us listen to messages, and greatness is planted into us, but when we go to bed, it's aborted. It takes power to resist those demons that always harass you in your dreams.
Jesus understood the concept of power; he told his disciples to tarry in order to be endued with power. I pray that God will open our understanding.

Luke 10:19 says God has given us the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and nothing shall hurt us. Are you a carrier of God's power, or do you live by chance? The world doesn't joke with power. Gentility has no place in the spirit.

Sources of power
1. Prayer: Consistent prayer can shift some things. It's high time we woke up to the fact that without power, man cannot go far in life. For every new door, there's a new devil. A great and effectual door has been opened, but there are many adversaries.
2. Fasting: One of the ways Christians are lacking is fasting. It's disheartening that a Christian is pursuing a contract with an unbeliever, and the believer ends up losing it. All you get is "Sorry, come back next year."

Before Ministration
1. Powers that don't want me to go far in life, you're a liar. Die.
2. Powers in my foundation assigned to limit my greatness, die in the name of Jesus.
3. Power to break limitations in life fall upon me.

After Ministration
1. From today, I carry the presence of God.
