MOUNTAIN OF FIRE AND MIRACLES MINISTRIES Youth Church Region 4 Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria.
SUNDAY SERVICE
2nd November, 2025
Minister: BRO FOLUSO ADESOYE
Topic: THE HIGH COST OF GETTING HIGH: HOW DRUGS CAN IMPACT YOUR LIFE.
Text: Romans 8:1-15
The Message:
One thing people do not realise is that there's the Holy Spirit and there are other spirits. A major name for alcohol is "spirit". Truly, there's a spirit behind it. How can you claim to be a child of God and still be controlled by another spirit? That's an aberration. Someone who is a minister in church still "shaks" (gets high).
Roms 8:14 Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. Also, those who are being led by the spirit of alcohol are sons of the devil.
The spirit of the drug is a spirit of bondage.
Romans 12:1-2 encourages us to present our body as a living sacrifice unto God and transform our mind, which is a daily routine.
In Jer 29:11, the mind of God towards us is for good and not for evil. If God has a perfect plan for our lives, how then are we living like bastards? We misuse the temple of God.
Some see drugs as a means to be accepted among peers. Only a coward with result into drug abuse in order to escape a problem. If you have a glorious destiny, you have to fight to achieve that height.
Drugs change how the brain works; the drugs work with the nervous system. They recreate pleasure for some time and ruin the brain's natural ability to function properly. Beyond personal harm, drug abuse affects homes and communities; it increases gang rates, broken homes, and adverse effects on finances.
