Topic: THE ENEMY CALLED DEPRESSION

Text: 1 Sam 30 vs 1-4

The Message:

David won battles against his enemies and when he came back and found out that the people he went to battle for had been captured, he wept and all his soldiers wept until they had no power to weep again. 

Is there any situation in your life that has kept you weeping until you have no power to weep again, the Lord of Elijah  will intervene in Jesus name, Amen.

Depression will push you one side and make you take a decision you ought not to take. The negative forces called perplexity, as a result of evil around you. Perplexity, fears and failure has enhanced people to make the wrong decision.

David was depressed when he came back from the war, but he came out of it. The man in you is the one devil is attacking. The enemy is targeting your life as a result of this depression . Our environment is surrounded by hopelessness, fear, perplexity, and a lot of people are already under these forces.

Every nation has gone through what we are going through in Nigeria, but don't let this situation make you depressed. 

Fear of the unknown has made people take drugs and some are now prostitutes. 

Say: I have today , today Belong to me and I will use my today judiciously to secure my future.

If you are a normal man , you cannot survive in this nation but it takes an abnormal man to survive an abnormal situation.

The enemy is using the weapon of depression against believers in the church, manipulating sisters, brothers and everyone.

That you have money, does not stop the enemy from attacking you with the weapon of depression. Depression can turn you to anything, it can turn beauty to ugliness. 

Depression is in stages. There is hope against this weapon of depression against us.

Depression kills, maim, wound and destroy destiny.

May you not suffer in the hands of the enemy in the name of Jesus. Amen

Whatever loads that the enemy has placed upon your head for you to be depressed, be removed in Jesus Name. Amen

Satan is now launching an attack against believers, but God has his plans for our life.

WAYS TO OVERCOME DEPRESSION

1. Be bold. Confront your fears

STAND UP AND SAY THIS BOLDLY; God has plans for me, whatever I am going through, whatever my nation is going through, whatever my family is going through now, I am a child of God, God has plans for my life.

Many don't recognize that they are depressed. Some think that it is normal when they are in a situation for a long time, like marital challenges, extreme financial difficulty.

2.  Create time to be in the presence of God and depression will run away . Sit in the presence of God and let God talk to you about your situation.

Many people fail because they don't have time in the presence of God.

Depression kills gradually.

Only YOU in the presence of God can help *YOU*fight the battle against depression.

Know how to retreat from your business, work and your daily activities and be in his presence.

3.  You must be BORN AGAIN.

4.  You must be refreshed daily by the HOLY SPIRIT; let the Holy Spirit minister to you.

At the gate of Glory, there are battles to fight

5. Renew your mind through the word of God by the Holy Spirit.

6. Be accountable to someone

7. Encourage yourself in the Lord; take authority of it and it will not kill you. 

8. Seek spiritual instructions and take spiritual instructions seriously and obediently.
