Topic: MARRIAGE MATHEMATICS: GOD'S EQUATION FOR MARITAL SUCCESS.

Text: Gen 2: 21-25

 

The Message: 

 

Mathematics is a universal language. Lack of knowledge to a particular situation in your marriage doesn't mean the equation is wrong.

In mathematics, there are different formula for different equations. Once you get the equation right, the question will be easy. If you get the knowledge right about marriage, it will be easy. Don't say marriage is a scam because God has equation for it.

God’s equation about marriage

1.In God's equation 1+1= 1. It is no longer my money, my pursuit, it is now our money and our pursuit. When you marry, you marry with everything. The first thing Satan will do is to open the door of separation when you attempt to do things separately. God no longer sees you as individual, he sees you as one. Make sure oneness is not tampered with. 

Every attempt to split will cause damage, it could be finance, health, mental etc . You both  should think as 1.

 

2.In God's mathematics 2-1 =0. Picture your marriage as a two legged table that holds everything, when one leg of the table is missing, everything will crumble. 2-1 is emptiness, guide against things that will subtract attention, joy, peace and progress in your marriage. 

 

3.1×1=1. Multiplication in marriage is synergy, bonding, welding, cleaving and becoming one flesh. Ecclesiastes 4:9, there's a better reward for their labour. When you pull in opposite direction as couple, it is the beginning of stagnancy. You would have opened the door for enemies to invade. Some partners have weaponised all what God gave them against their spouse. As a wife, you have weaponised sex against your husband. The husband is the driver while the wife is the conductor. It is unwise to fight your spouse, you're not competing, you're complementing each other. Be partners in prayer, parenting and finance. In partnership, you grow and invest deliberately and consistently. The prayers of a couple in oneness will get answers more than that of a couple with discord.

 

4.1÷2=0. Division brings brokenness, eliminates strength and reduces productivity. This is more caused by 3Fs you should not allow in your marriage to counsel you.

The 3Fs are Family, Friends and Fans. 

The husband is not the problem, the wife is not the problem, the problem is the problem.

When you understand this, you won't see your wife as the problem.

Once there's problem, you blame God. In marriage, you both have to be responsible. Until you become responsible, your marriage will not work. You always compare your marriage with others, you think the grass is greener on the other side, it's only green where it is watered. You have to invest, the best God can give to you is your husband/wife.

Stop seeing your spouse as "not good enough". He/she is your LIFE.

God himself saw that Adam should not be alone and he sent a helper to him(SHE). She is a solution provider, multiplier and expander. 

 

5. ½ of 1 =Damage. Colossians 2:10, bringing ½ of 1 is damage. The equation should be 1+1=1. If you build a house with ½ bricks, it will not stand. You don't go into marriage with 0.5 and expect your spouse to measure up to you. You bring 100 and your spouse brings 100. Marriage is 100:100 not 50:100. You must be careful as to who you'll miss your life with.

There are some people your destiny cannot marry. If you try it, your star will vanish. The reason you're jumping around is because you don't know who you are. There's only one person designed for you and when you get that person, you'll shine. You must get it right as singles. 

 

6. Find X. Marriage involves solving for X,

With God as a constant factor, every problem becomes solvable. Every marriage has a X factor. An equation may look complex but with God's word as constant K, all unknown becomes known.

B- Bracket (Boundaries and covering:) It defines what's inside and covers it. It means exclusivity. You don't build boundaries with your ex, you burn the bridge. There's no need to keep contact with your ex. Your spouse is your new life, don't compare with your ex. Anyone better than your spouse is your best ticket to hellfire. Protect your marriage from pollution and gossip.

 

O- Order in marriage This means priority. In mathematics, you have to solve the equation in sequence. In marriage, God's divine order must be followed: First is God, followed by spouse, your children, vision and your career. Your wife is three things throughout your life: Initial days: mistress, middle of your life: maid and your old age she will be your nanny.

 

D-Division: In mathematics division split equation. In marriage, division splits dreams and vision. 

 

M-Multiplication: In mathematics* multiplication makes numbers grow faster. In marriage, it is fruitfulness. You must multiply intimacy, fruitfulness, love and joy. As a man, you should cook in the house, it is part of intimacy. 

 

A- Addition bring us together as one in marriage. You must add value to each other's life. Encourage each other and support each other.

 

S- Substraction is the removal of toxic habit, wrong attitude, subtract pride, nagging, harmful in-laws and bad habits. You should look at what you can do to make the home better. Be patient with your spouse to make changes.

1.God (man+woman) =successful marriage.

2.Husband+ wife=1 ( Oneness in covenant) Gen 2:24.

3.Love+ Respect= Harmony. Eph 5:33.

4.100%man+100%woman=whole marriage. Col 3:23

5.Forgiveness ×70×7= Endless love. Matt 18:22.

6.Agreement × unity= Exponential power Matt 18:29, Deut 32:30.

7.Prayer+ Word of God= Strong foundation. Matt 7: 24-25.

8.Transparency+ Trust= Security. Gen 2:25

9.Successful marriage= K(Husband+wife) where K = Constant(God's love) Ecclesiastes 4:12.

10.Sacrifice+ service= Joyful love. Phil 2:4

11.Forgiveness+patience= Endurance(Husband+wife)× God's love+ prayer+respect -pride-division

Successful marriage is a reality, for you to succeed, you need Jesus.
